Sporting Lodge Inns Selects SoftBrands Epitome PMS
Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 19, 2008 – SoftBrands, Inc. (AMEX: SBN), a global supplier of enterprise application software, today announced that Sporting Lodge Inns has selected SoftBrands Epitome Property Management System (PMS) to manage its inventory throughout the group. Epitome will be centrally managed and hosted, lowering the groups “Total Cost of Ownership” (TCO), a key driver in Sporting Lodge’s IT strategy.
Sporting Lodge Inns will immediately replace its existing PMS solution with Epitome at the Leigh and Middlesbrough, United Kingdom properties and complete the installation for its remaining properties later in the year. “We are also looking for another six expansion sites and will be implementing Epitome in these as well when we acquire them,” said Paul Nixon, Group Operations Director, Sporting Lodge Inns.
“Having access to centralized inventory across all our hotels was very important,” said Nixon. “In addition, we wanted to partner with a company that we felt could provide exceptional 24x7x365 support and service. SoftBrands stood out far above the rest.”
